KINDLE’s Board of Directors is made up of people committed to its mission and core values.

President: Elvin Harms, Jr.
Elvin is an Engineering Physicist at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory in Batavia, Illinois as well as a lay leader at his home congregation, Immanuel Lutheran, also in Batavia.

Vice President: David Rahberg
David Rahberg is a Director of Christian Education serving in Care Ministries at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Carrollton, Texas.

Secretary: Michele Karpenko
Michelle is a retired pediatric physical therapist living in Rosemount, Minnesota.

Leah Anderson
Leah is a physician at Bozeman Creek Family Health in Bozeman, Montana.

Jim Bradshaw
Jim is a Director of Christian Education serving as Assistant to the President for Educational Services at the Kansas District of the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod in Topeka, Kansas.

Carsten Falkenberg
Carsten is retired from a career as a Wealth Advisor and certified financial planner in Crown Point, Indiana.

Rick Herman
Rick lives in Oak Park, Illinois and was the former President of Wheat Ridge Ministries.

Sandy Jett
Sandy has recently retired as Executive Director of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lisle, Illinois. and continues to serve on the part-time staff as a volunteer.

Mary Stafford
Mary is a Director of Christian Education who serves as Director of Education Ministries at Brookfield Lutheran Church in Brookfield, Wisconsin.

Staff

Operations Director and Interim Executive Director: Michelle Pavasars
Michelle oversees KINDLE’s operational teams and works closely with KINDLE’s staff and the many valuable KINDLE volunteers.  She is also serving as Interim Executive Director of KINDLE.  Michelle is a Director of Christian Education at Christ Lutheran Church in Brea, California.

Operations Coordinator: Diane Schuessler
Diane coordinates the five KINDLE program initiatives and works with KINDLE’s four operational teams.

Treasurer

Treasurer: Kim Deterding
Kim currently owns her own business where she provides accounting services to primarily non-profit clients. Formerly she has been the Director of Church Administration at Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Anoka, Minnesota as well as the Business Manager at Zion Lutheran Church in Alexandria, Minnesota.
